profits to help homeless dogs & cats
One of the sadder things weve seen is an obviously much-loved pet in a shelter…. with a worn out unreadable ID tag.
We sell the most durable tags available! Our priority is a tag that will still be on your pet and readableyearsafter you purchase it.
Our manufacture has been making tags since 1971. They make our plastic tags from tougher, more expensive type of plastic than weve seen anywhere else. They use the highest quality ingredients to make the most durable tags possible! They are a full 1/8 thick, deeply enrgraved – so durable that they are guaranteed for 2 years. All come with a stainless-steel eyelet.
Stainless Steel tags are engraved with a secret process for a super-deep, durable engraving. Hardware used to attach tags to the pets collar is of a heavier gauge to assure the tag stays attached to your pets collar, as a chain is only as strong as its weakest link. Our tags are not just good looking, but they are also more durable than any other tags.
Our CollarTags are virtually indestructible and areguaranteedto last for as long as you own your pet. We strongly recommend this style of tag EVEN IF YOU ALSO USE HANGING TAGS as a backup.
Our 1st priority is making a tag that will mean if your pet gets lost, they will quickly get home with you – and not be taking up space in a shelter!
Wooftags is a big supporter of microchipping! Our tags are the best, but even the best tag like our CollarTags can be removed by taking off your pets collar.
Pet ID tags are the 1 form of pet ID. But we also recommend having your pet implanted with a microchip too, as a backup, in case your pet is found without its collar & tag. Microchipping is done in at a vet or clinic, with a needle, just like the pet getting a vaccination, and takes about 2 seconds, no anethesia required. Costs usually range from $25 to $40 per pet.
What kind of microchip should you get? There are several companies that offer microchips. We suggest calling all of your local animal shelters and asking what brand of microchip scanner they use, and what brand of chip is most common in your area. We feel this offers the best chance of that scanner being able to identify your pets microchip, although universal scanners are said to recognize & read all types of chips.
Since some people dont know about microchips, so it is CRITICAL to have a visible tag ID on your pet at all times, even when they are microchipped too.
