Light Switch Guard

This thing is a neat flip-up guard that makes a regular wall light switch look like a missile launch control or a race car starter switch.

One piece is a hinge that mounts to the top screw of the switch plate, and the other is the guard which can be attached to the hinge with some small screws.

Put a lighted switch behind it and it looks awesome.

EDITED: Added an improved bracket that picks up both holes on the switchplate and wont break as easily.

Assemble guard to hinge with two small screws.

I also coated the front in a clear doming epoxy to make it look nicer, but this is not necessary.
