White Chocolate Cake Strawberry Milkshake

Best milkshake EVER. We got an explosion of flavors here in this beautiful pink cold shake. We have the flavors of white chocolate, vanilla cake and strawberries to give us the most perfect milkshake imaginable. I absolutely LOVE chocolate milkshakes, but Im so serious that this one is just as incredible.

I have tried to make creamy, rich strawberry milkshakes vegan before, but my husband never liked them because I was using coconut cream which is notoriously used to thicken up vegan shakes. Or, another popular choice is bananas. Well, bananas are great…if you like the flavor, but bananas stick out like a sore thumb in smoothies or desserts because of their strong flavor, especially if you dont like the flavor. I loathe bananas, so that choice was out too. I also didnt want the shake to taste like bananas.

I wanted this to taste just like a traditional creamy, milky strawberry shake. So, the combo of cashew milk, cashew butter and cocoa butter DID IT.

Would you just look at that gorgeous white chocolate milk. Im telling you, this is phenomenal just as a white chocolate milk…without even adding the frozen strawberries. I was tempted to just drink it straight. In fact, this will be my go-to new hot white chocolate! Yeahhh.

This shake is LEGIT. It is perfectly sweet, tastes just like white chocolate, has a smooth gourmet taste from the vanilla and a dreamy creaminess from the cashew butter and cashew milk. SO GOOD.

I originally had another post planned today using cashew butter in a more indulgent dessert, but changed my mind after posting theUltimate Raw Cookie Dough Chocolate Fudge Cakelast week. Ever since seeing SophiasSalted Caramel Cashew Cacao Chunk Smoothielast week, Ive had a hankering to post an indulgent shake instead. That one is next on my list by the way.

For this shake, I used the most amazing raw cashew butter fromVivapura. They sent me this wonderfulcashew butterto try out and I absolutely loved the smooth taste and texture. All of Vivapuras products are raw, vegan, organic and non-gmo. Thank God for companies like them that are committed to such high-quality products. They carry a large selection of products too, ranging from nuts, seeds, powders, nut butters and superfoods.

At Vivapura, we offer the highest quality raw Superfoods filled with healthy proteins, healing antioxidants, vitamins & minerals to fuel your best health. From savory nut butters like wild jungle peanut, pecan, and almond butter to gluten free coconut flour, Vivapura offers a range of premium Superfood options. (from their website)

I have used their products before, using their Lucuma in my7 Ingredient Pecan Pie Bars.

Sprinkles just made everything more fun and festive and pretty, dont they?

Im super anxious to hear what you think of this amazing vegan white chocolate cake strawberry milkshake! Be sure to leave me feedback below after you make it and feel free to tag me onInstagramatthevegan8!

The combo of white chocolate, vanilla cake and strawberries come together for the most delicious, rich and smooth dairy-free milkshake! You wont miss any dairy after this one!

1 1/4 cups unsweetened cashew milk (I usedSo Delicious, or you can use another creamy plant milk like light coconut milk or soy)

2-3 tablespoons pure maple syrup (or agave, 30 mL)

3 tablespoonsVivapura cashew butter(use sunbutter if allergic)

3 tablespoons meltedcocoa butter(40 g)

2 cups or One 10 oz bag FROZEN strawberries (280 g)

Vegan Sprinkles (I usedLets Do Organic, see Notes below)

Coconut cream for topping (optional)

If you dont want to use cashew milk, just make sure to select another plant milk that is creamy with some fat in it for best results. Light coconut milk or soy milk would be the best options. You can also sub the cashew butter for sunbutter, but it will change the vanilla cake-ish flavor some.

Add all of the ingredients, except the frozen strawberries to a blender and process until very smooth. Add the strawberries and process just until combined and thick. Serve immediately. Makes 2 small smoothies or 1 large. This shake is really rich, so we definitely shared it between 2 of us. I topped them with whipped coconut cream and strawberries.

*Raw, vegan, gluten-free, oil-free, coconut-free (if you leave off the topping), nut-free option*Sprinkles: most brands are not vegan. I have a vegan brand by Lets Do Organic that you can order on Amazon or get at Whole Foods or some HEBs. They are very ugly in color though, so I did not want to use them in the photos. I used some that Ive had forever in my pantry, but we use the ones by Lets Do Organic for consumption.

Oh WOW Brandi that looks mouthwatering! Ive never actually bought cocoa butter before but Im now thinking… I might have toD:

Thank you so much, you are so sweet!! I LOVE cocoa butter!

Spectacularly delicious. Im making your cinnamon coconut butter cheesecake this weekend for a posting next week but this one will be close behind…Im practically living off of smoothies these days and love how frozen strawberries work up with minimal sugar. Beautifully done Brandi.

Oh Yay!! I cant wait to hear what you think of it! Its one of my favorite desserts ever!! Thank you so much Angela!!

Cashew cream and butter is amazing stuff! This looks really awesome Brandi. Thanks for the recipe.

I agree! I dont love cashew butter on its own so much, but mixed into recipes it gives such a wonderful creamy vanilla, floral flavor that I just love. Thank you Linda!

Ive been craving a shake since Sophia posted hers too! This one looks so amazing, Brandi! I just made a batch of fresh cashew butter yesterday, cant wait to use it to make one of these!!

Its sooooo good Leah! Sophias shake is to die for too…I just made it and loved it! Let me know please if you make this!

Wow, this is my kind of shake! This looks incredibly delicious, cant wait to try this! I love all the ingredients here, strawberries, cashew butter and milk, yes please! Ill have to make a batch of cashew milk! 🙂

Thank you so much Florian! It seriously is so thick, creamy and indulgent…one of the best milkshakes Ive had and its not even dark chocolate, hahaha!

OMG This shake looks amazing!! Im definitely more of a chocolate shake girl but it looks like this recipe might convert me! Cocoa butter is genius to use in this recipe, cant wait to try it (just need some strawberries)!!

Meee too! That is what surprised me…I LOVE chocolate the most…but dang this was AWESOME! Blew my mind how good it was! Please let me know if you try it!!

So as you obviously know, I got a notification that you linked to my shake, and in true me fashion I had to check out from where. Well, I saw this recipe and immediately decided I NEEDED to try it. And literally made this bad boy before it was even posted on your social media!! LOL!! End result?? TO DIE FOR!! Now I can obsessively go back and forth between this and mine and NEVER tire of either flavor. Get your bathing suit on people, because you will want to go swimming in this beauty!

Im sooo happy you loved it so much Sophia! Im super duper happy to hear that!! LOL!

I think Ill be skipping all normal meals for the next few days and eating this INSTEAD! Oh my, girl!

Sounds like a GREAT meal to me, haha!

I love the contrast of tall stemmed glasses against the fun factor of sprinkles and milkshakes and adorable tiny hands 3 Yes, sprinkles absolutely make everything a million times more fun. Put them on everything, please! I dont even care about eating them, but it just makes me happy to see them 🙂

This looks heavenly!!! I love strawberry milkshakes, but this one looks better than any that Ive ever had. We just ran out of strawberries otherwise I would be making this right now. How adorable is that sweet little hand in the sprinkles??!?! So precious. And that spoon is super cute! Cant wait to make this!

Oh, my!!! Willow and I shared this for an afternoon treat yesterday – wow! Like I stated in my IG post, Im more of a vanilla or chocolate shake person, but this one reminded me of all three wonderful shakes. Who would have thought that cashew butter, cacao butter and vanilla would have created such a cake-like flavor?! Willow and I both loved it! Glad were stocked up on frozen strawberries because I know well be making this again.

WOW!! This looks amazing! Def the best milkshake!! …love all the fun sprinkles! SO pretty!! 🙂

Thank you so much Cailee! You are so kind!

Thank you so much Cailee, that is so sweet of you!!

Oh my gawd! Ive never seen anything cuter! And it looks so delicious!

Yum! This looks so good! People wont believe its completely vegan!

You are very right, nobody would know the difference, as it is just as rich, thick and creamy! Thank you Mary!

Wonderful Yosie! Thank you so much for letting me know!!

i love this shake! the only problem i had was a strange after taste from the vanilla powder. i switched over to vanilla extract and the after taste was gone.

Hi Allison! So happy you loved it! Oh, that is probably because of the vanilla powder you used. Some brands have some fake sweeteners added to them and leave a really nasty aftertaste. The one I use is this. It is real vanilla bourbon bean and it is DIVINE. The taste, smell and everything. You should try this one! Sur La Table sells it in their stores as well.

I think there is a song that starts with the words I dont know you but I love you. How appropriate because Ive tried to make vegan cashew vanilla ice creams and tried to add strawberries in the past and theyve been just ok. This was fantastic. This is what I will take with me when my guys want to go to Sonic and Im tempted by all the shakes, and this is so much better. Thank you for putting this up.
